Ayurveda brings about years of knowledge from the ancient Indian system of medicine.
Ayurveda believes that sickness is caused by imbalances in your body and mind and by bringing about a change in your lifestyle, diet along with herbal medicine yoga, meditation and massage health is restored back.
Ayurvedic consultation consists of a series of questions about your daily routine, diet, digestion physical, mental and emotional health. There is then a tongue and pulse diagnosis to find out your constitution and imbalance and the right treatment given as required.
These elements combine in the human body to form three life forces or energies, called doshas. They control how your body works. The three doshas are:
Vata dosha (space and air)
Pitta dosha (fire and water)
Kapha dosha (water and earth)
According to Ayurveda, the human body comprises three body states which include Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Vata consists of the elements air and ether, which give us movement and activity. Pitta includes the elements fire and water, which are responsible for heat, appetite and digestion, and Kapha is characterized by the elements earth and water, which are responsible for water and other bodily fluids. When the three body states are in perfect harmony, the individual enjoys good health, whereas an imbalance in the states causes disease. Ayurveda seeks to address this state of imbalance through a process of holistic healing.
The consultation lasts from 45-90 mins
